Quantitative trait loci associated with seed set under high temperature stress at the flowering stage in rice ( Oryza sativa L.)
Yinghui Xiao,Yi Pan,Lihua Luo,Zhang Guilian,Huabing Deng,Liangying Dai,Xionglun Liu,Wenbang Tang,Li-yun Chen,Guo-Liang Wang,Guo-Liang Wang +10 more
TL;DR: Two quantitative trait loci underlying tolerance to HTS were identified using the recombinant inbred lines (RILs) derived from a cross between the HTS-tolerant rice cultivar 996 and the sensitive cultivar 4628 and could be useful for further fine mapping and cloning of these genes and for molecular marker-aided breeding of heat-tolerance rice cultivars.

Quantitative Trait Loci Associated with Pollen Fertility under High Temperature Stress at Flowering Stage in Rice (Oryza sativa)
TL;DR: Two quantitative trait loci underlying tolerance to HTS were identified using recombinant inbred lines derived from a cross between an HTS-tolerant rice cultivar 996 and a sensitive cultivar 4628 and would be useful for further fine mapping and cloning of these genes and for molecular marker-assistant breeding of heat-t tolerant rice varieties.

Endoplasmic Reticulum-Localized PURINE PERMEASE1 Regulates Plant Height and Grain Weight by Modulating Cytokinin Distribution in Rice.
Yunhua Xiao,Junwen Zhang,Guiyuan Yu,Lu Xuedan,Wentao Mei,Huabing Deng,Zhang Guilian,Chen Guihua,Chengcai Chu,Hongning Tong,Wenbang Tang +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the function of PURINE PERMEASE1 (OsPUP1) in rice (Oryza sativa L) was characterized, and it was found that the CK response in the shoot of a rice seedling is decreased compared to the wild type when CKs are applied to the root.

CRISPR/Cas9-mediated simultaneous mutation of three salicylic acid 5-hydroxylase (OsS5H) genes confers broad-spectrum disease resistance in rice.
Xiong-fei Liu,Wei-Jen Yao,Zhongliang Yin,Yubo Wang,JieHang Zhou,Jinling Liu,Xuedan Lu,Guilian Zhang,Guihua Chen,Yunhua Xiao,Huabing Deng,Wenbang Tang +11 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper reported that three OsS5H homologues displayed salicylic acid 5-hydroxylase activity, converting SA into 2,5dihydroxybenzoic acid (2,5-DHBA).

Comparative Analysis of Heat-Tolerant and Heat-Susceptible Rice Highlights the Role of OsNCED1 Gene in Heat Stress Tolerance
Huan Zhou,Yingfeng Wang,Yijin Zhang,Yunhua Xiao,Xiong-fei Liu,Huabing Deng,Xuedan Lu,Wenbang Tang,Guilian Zhang +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , a differentially expressed gene (DEG) analysis revealed that the DEGs are mainly associated with protein binding, catalysis, stress response, and cellular process.
