Damage, Healing, and Remodeling in Optogenetic Skeletal Muscle Bioactuators.
Ritu Raman,Lauren Grant,Yongbeom Seo,Caroline Cvetkovic,Michael Gapinske,Alexandra Palasz,Howard Dabbous,Hyunjoon Kong,Pablo Perez Pinera,Rashid Bashir +9 more
TL;DR: The underlying mechanisms of damage are investigated in vitro, and an in vivo inspired healing strategy is developed to counteract this damage, setting the stage for a more robust, resilient, and adaptive bioactuator technology than previously demonstrated.

Yttrium-90 Radiation Segmentectomy of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Comparative Study of Effectiveness, Safety, and Dosimetry of Glass vs. Resin-based Microspheres.
Alexander Villalobos,Linzi Arndt,Bernard Cheng,Howard Dabbous,M. Loya,Bill S. Majdalany,Zachary L. Bercu,Nima Kokabi +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors evaluated the differences in safety, effectiveness, and dosimetry between glass-based and resin-based ablative yttrium-90 transarterial radioembolization (TARE) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Generalizability of Deep Learning Classification of Spinal Osteoporotic Compression Fractures on Radiographs Using an Adaptation of the Modified-2 Algorithm-Based Qualitative Criteria.
Qifei Dong,Gang Luo,Nancy E Lane,Li-Yung Lui,Lynn M. Marshall,Sandra K. Johnston,Howard Dabbous,Ken F. Linnau,Jessica Perry,Jonathan R. Renslo,D. Haynor,Jeffrey G. Jarvik,Nathan M. Cross +12 more
TL;DR: A deep learning vertebral body classifier for OCFs as a critical component of the future automated opportunistic screening tool for osteoporosis and some generalizability to real-world clinical datasets are shown.

Safety and Efficacy of Concurrent Atezolizumab/Bevacizumab or Nivolumab Combination Therapy with Yttrium-90 Radioembolization of Advanced Unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Alexander Villalobos,Howard Dabbous,Olivia Little,O. B. Gbolahan,Mehmet Akce,Meghan Allegra Lilly,Zachary L. Bercu,Nima Kokabi +7 more
TL;DR: Among patients with advanced unresectable HCC, the utilization of Y90-RE concurrently or within 90 days of nivolumab or atezolizumab/bevacizumAB/beVacizUMab immunotherapy, appears to be well-tolerated and with a low incidence of severe AE.
