miR-4775 promotes colorectal cancer invasion and metastasis via the Smad7/TGFβ-mediated epithelial to mesenchymal transition.
Senlin Zhao,Hongcheng Sun,Weiliang Jiang,Yushuai Mi,Dongyuan Zhang,Yugang Wen,Dantong Cheng,Huamei Tang,Shaohan Wu,Yang Yu,Xisheng Liu,Weiyingqi Cui,Meng Zhang,Xiao-Feng Sun,Zong-Guang Zhou,Zhihai Peng,Dongwang Yan +16 more
TL;DR: miR-4775 promotes CRC metastasis and recurrence in a Smad7/TGFβ signaling-dependent manner, providing a new therapeutic target for inhibiting the metastasis or recurrence of the disease.
Overexpression of Forkhead box M1 protein associates with aggressive tumor features and poor prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma.
Hongcheng Sun,Min Li,Ji-Lin Lu,Dongwang Yan,Chongzhi Zhou,Junwei Fan,Xuebin Qin,Huamei Tang,Zhihai Peng +8 more
TL;DR: The data from the current study suggest that FOXM1 may play an important role in HCC progression and could be further evaluated as a prognostic biomarker and potential therapeutic target.

Dedifferentiation of hepatocellular carcinoma: molecular mechanisms and therapeutic implications.
TL;DR: It's promising that differentiation therapy for HCC may be a part of options in future HCC treatment, and some agents have been found effective in lab, but need more data to support their reliability.

C7 genotype of the donor may predict early bacterial infection after liver transplantation
Lin Zhong,Hao Li,Zhiqiang Li,Baojie Shi,Pusen Wang,Chunguang Wang,Junwei Fan,Hongcheng Sun,Pei-Wen Wang,Xuebin Qin,Zhihai Peng +10 more
TL;DR: Using expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) analysis, it is found that the C7 rs6876739 CC genotypes and mannan-binding lectin (MBL2) gene polymorphisms of liver donors were significantly associated with bacterial infection in recipients.

A single center experience: post-transplantation adjuvant chemotherapy impacts the prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma patients.
TL;DR: Stratification analysis showed that the gemcitabine regimen and conventional chemotherapy could significantly improve the survival rate and disease free survival rate for HCC patients who had major vascular invasion and/or microvascular invasion after liver transplantation compared with BSC group.
