Vertical Bridgman growth of Al2O3/YAG:Ce melt growth composite
Masafumi Yoshimura,Masafumi Yoshimura,Shin-Ichi Sakata,Hisayoshi Iba,Takafumi Kawano,Keigo Hoshikawa +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the vertical Bridgman method was investigated as a way to grow Al 2 O 3 /YAG:Ce melt growth composite (Ce-doped MGC), an attractive candidate material for blue-to-yellow light conversion.

Ceramic composites for light conversion, process for production thereof, and light-emitting devices provided with same
Hideki Ohtsubo,Shin-Ichi Sakata,Shinichi Ishitobi,Yasuyuki Ichizono,Norifumi Miyamoto,Hisayoshi Iba +5 more
- 14 Mar 2011
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a ceramic composite for light conversion, which is capable of maintaining a high radiant flux even when the proportion of Gd and Ce is increased to tune the fluorescence peak wavelength to the longer wavelength side.

Dielectric ceramic composition, dielectric ceramic and laminated ceramic part including the same
Shinichi Ishitobi,Koichi Fukuda,Takafumi Kawano,Hisayoshi Iba +3 more
- 20 Jan 2004
TL;DR: A dielectric ceramic composition which can be formed into a built-in or multilayer structure through simultaneously firing with a low-resistance conductor such as Ag or Cu and can be fired at 800 to 1000°C into a Dielectric Ceramic exhibiting an absolute value of temperature coefficient (τf) of resonance frequency (f0) of 20 ppm/°C or less whose regulation is easy.

Patent
Ceramic complex for light conversion and light-emitting device using same
Hisayoshi Iba,Shinichi Ishitobi,Yasuyuki Ichizono +2 more
- 28 Mar 2013
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented a light-emitting device that uses this ceramic complex for light conversion, which is a solidified material made from a composition expressed by formula (1) having an organization where at least two oxide phases, a first phase and a second phase, are continuously, three-dimensional, and mutually entangled; wherein the first phase is a (Tb, Y)3Al5O12 phase activated by Ce that emits fluorescent light, and the second phase is an Al2O3 phase.
