Sensorless pedaling torque estimation by front and rear wheels independently driven power assist bicycle
Hiroyuki Kawajiri,Sho Sakaino,Hiroto Mizoguchi,Toshiaki Tsuji +3 more
- 06 Mar 2015
TL;DR: A pedaling torque estimation method that can be implemented only in front and rear wheel independently driven type power assist bicycles, which were also proposed by the authors and verified by simulations and experiments.

Chattering reduction of functional electrical stimulation with the smith compensator
Tomoya Kitamura,Hiroto Mizoguchi,Naoto Mizukami,Sho Sakaino,Toshiaki Tsuji +4 more
- 01 Oct 2017
TL;DR: A control method suppressing chattering in functional electrical stimulation (FES) with Smith compensator is proposed and the performance of the proposed method was verified by target value control and bilateral control.

Control with Adjusted Pulse Frequency and Amplitude in Functional Electrical Stimulation
Tomoya Kitamura,Naoto Mizukami,Hiroto Mizoguchi,Sho Sakaino,Toshiaki Tsuji +4 more
- 01 Jul 2018
TL;DR: It is proposed that the control performance can be improved by adjusting the frequency in addition to the conventional pulse amplitude adjustment, and it is confirmed that chattering is suppressed by the proposed method.

Bilateral Control in the Vertical Direction Using Functional Electrical Stimulation
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used functional electrical stimulation (FES) to achieve vertical bilateral control in the vertical direction using a human operator and demonstrated that the operator was able to recognize the presence or absence of the weight in the hand of the partner.
