A system and method are provided for targeted and individualized delivery of multiple skin benefit agents to the skin of a user. The image of a predetermined treatment area of the user's skin is first captured by an imaging device. Selective data input from analysis tools and the end user is then analyzed by a computing device to generate a unique skin profile for the user, which is indicative of the skin conditions at the predetermined treatment area. Based on such skin profile, a printing device prints out one or more cosmetic delivery sheets that can be applied to the predetermined treatment area. Each of the cosmetic delivery sheets contains a substrate with multiple isolate, discrete regions, while at least two of the regions are imprinted with different skin benefit agents for treating different skin conditions of the predetermined treatment area according to the unique skin profile of the user.

Method and system for automatic or manual evaluation to provide targeted and individualized delivery of cosmetic actives in a mask or patch form

A system and methods are provided for targeted and individualized delivery of multiple skin benefit agents to the skin of a user. The image of a predetermined treatment area of the user's skin is first captured by an imaging device. The captured image data is then analyzed by a computing device to generate a unique skin profile for the user, which is indicative of the skin conditions at the predetermined treatment area. Based on such skin profile, a printing device prints out one or more cosmetic delivery sheets that can be applied to the predetermined treatment area. Each of the cosmetic delivery sheets contains a substrate with multiple isolated, discrete regions, while at least two of the regions are imprinted with different skin benefit agents for treating different skin conditions of the predetermined treatment area according to the unique skin profile of the user. Targeted delivery of one or multiple skin benefit agents to the skin of a user may be achieved by applying and conforming to the skin a flexible cosmetic delivery sheet having associated therewith, on a first surface, one or multiple cosmetic treatment compositions provided in isolated, discrete regions, while an opposite surface of the sheet is provided with imprinted, predetermined regions corresponding to respective isolated, discrete regions on the first surface of the sheet. The user manipulates the sheet at the imprinted predetermined regions in a manner indicated by the imprinted predetermined regions to release one or multiple skin treatment compositions from the isolated, discrete regions and deliver effective amounts of one or multiple skin benefit agents to the targeted areas of the skin underlying the isolated, discrete regions of the sheet.

Targeted And Individualized Cosmetic Delivery

A liquid-retaining sheet contains a liquid-retaining layer that is able to absorb a liquid component, and the liquid-retaining layer is formed from a nonwoven structural member containing a transparent fiber. In the liquid-retaining sheet, the transparency shown below is adjusted to not more than 0.27. Transparency=Whiteness (%) of a sheet impregnated with 700% by mass of water relative to the sheet mass/Basis weight (g/m 2 ) The transparent fiber may contain a cellulose-series fiber substantially free from a carboxyl group (in particular, a regenerated cellulose fiber such as a solvent-spinning cellulose-series fiber). The proportion of the solvent-spinning cellulose-series fiber may be not less than 30% by mass in the transparent fiber. The liquid-retaining sheet may be a skin care sheet (in particular, a facial mask) that is impregnated with a liquid component containing a cosmetic preparation. The liquid-retaining sheet has an improved transparency in a wet state in spite of a nonwoven structural member contained in the sheet and shows a suitable strength in a wet state.

A laminated sheet is produced by forming an adhesion layer permeable to a liquid component and contactable with a skin on at least one side of a liquid-retention layer comprising a nonwoven structural member and having an ability to absorb the liquid component. The adhesion layer comprises a nonwoven structural member comprising a fiber having a number-average fiber diameter of not more than 10 µm, and the thickness ratio of the adhesion layer relative to the liquid-retention layer is 1/4 to 1/100 as a ratio of the adhesion layer/the liquid-retention layer. The fiber of the nonwoven structural member of the adhesion layer may have a standard deviation of fiber diameter of not more than 5. The nonwoven structural member of the liquid-retention layer may comprise a fiber having a fiber diameter larger than that of the fiber of the adhesion layer. The laminated sheet has a liquid retentivity and a liquid releasability in a well-balanced manner, and has an excellent adhesion and an excellent fit to the skin in the state where the sheet is impregnated with a liquid component.

A skin application sheet for being impregnated with a cosmetic preparation is provided which is suitable for a face mask and so on, and causes less irritation to skin, and has good application properties. A splittable conjugate fiber web containing at least 50% by mass of splittable conjugate fibers is placed on one surface or both surfaces of a hydrophilic nonwoven containing at least 50% by mass of hydrophilic fibers and hydroentanglement treatment is conducted to split the splittable conjugate fibers into ultrafine fibers with a fineness of 0.5dtex and to form a ultrafine fiber layer containing at least 10% by mass of the ultrafine fibers and to integrate the hydrophilic nonwoven and the ultrafine fiber layer so that a sheet is obtained. This sheet is impregnated with the cosmetic preparation and used in such a manner that the ultrafine fiber layer is a skin contact surface.

The present invention relates to a nonwoven comprising: a first fiber layer comprising a first core/sheath composite fiber having three-dimensional crimp, wherein a sheath component of the first core/sheath composite fiber comprises linear low density polyethylene, a core component comprises thermoplastic resin having a melting point at least about 20°C higher than a melting point of the linear low density polyethylene, and the center of gravity of the core component is offset from the center of gravity of the fiber; a second fiber layer comprising a second core/sheath composite fiber having three-dimensional crimp, wherein a sheath component comprises high density polyethylene, a core component comprises thermoplastic resin having a melting point at least about 20°C higher than a melting point of the high density polyethylene, and the center of gravity of the core component is offset from the center of gravity of the fiber; wherein at least a portion of the first and the second core/sheath composite fibers is thermal bonded via the sheath components of the first and the second core/sheath composite fibers. The present invention also relates to a manufacturing method of the nonwoven according to the present invention, and an absorbent article having a topsheet comprising the nonwoven according to the present invention.
