TL;DR: It is demonstrated that both ligand-dependent and -independent nuclear translocation of the GR is impaired under oxidative conditions in living cells, and redox-dependent regulation of nuclear translocated GR constitutes an important mechanism for modulation of glucocorticoid-dependent signal transduction.

TL;DR: Molecular analyses on RET/PTC rearrangements and BRAF(V600E) mutation in 71 papillary thyroid cancer cases among atomic bomb survivors are performed, in relation to radiation dose as well as time elapsed since atomic bomb radiation exposure, suggesting that RET/ PTC rearranged play an important role in radiation-associated thyroid carcinogenesis.

Association of CYP1A1 Germ Line Polymorphisms with Mutations of the p53 Gene in Lung Cancer
TL;DR: Results showed that CYP1A1 germ line polymorphisms, which were associated with the genetic predisposition for lung cancer, were related to cigarette smoking-associated p53 mutations.
