Development of compact cold-atom sensors for inertial navigation
Baptiste Battelier,Brynle Barrett,L. Fouché,L. Chichet,L. Antoni-Micollier,Henri Porte,Fabien Napolitano,Jean Lautier,Arnaud Landragin,Philippe Bouyer +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first inertial measurements with an atomic accelerometer onboard an aircraft were reported, along both the horizontal and vertical axes of the aircraft with one-shot sensitivities of $2.3 \times 10-4 \times 4 \times 1.1 \sim 0.1

Development of compact cold-atom sensors for inertial navigation
Baptiste Battelier,Brynle Barrett,L. Fouché,L. Chichet,L. Antoni-Micollier,Henri Porte,Fabien Napolitano,Jean Lautier,Arnaud Landragin,Philippe Bouyer +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used an atomic accelerometer onboard an aircraft to achieve one-shot sensitivities of 2.3 × 10−4 g over a range of ∼ 0.1 g.

TL;DR: Based on the experience acquired early from pioneering work at Stanford University and Thomson-CSF starting in the mid 70s, fiber optic gyro (FOG) R&D began at Photonetics in the late 80s to yield OCTANS, a FOG-based inertial strapdown system providing attitude and gyro compassing, at the end of the 90s.

Demonstration of a Robust Hybrid Classical/Quantum Accelerometer
Pierrick Cheiney,Brynle Barrett,Simon Templier,Olivier Jolly,Baptiste Battelier,Philippe Bouyer,Henri Porte,Fabien Napolitano +7 more
- 01 Apr 2019
TL;DR: In this paper, a hybrid accelerometer that combines the large bandwidth and dynamic range of a mechanical accelerometer with the extreme stability of a quantum accelerometer based on cold atom interferometry is presented.

Device and method for interaction between an agile laser beam and a hyperfine energy transition of a chemical species
Henri Porte,Baptiste Battelier +1 more
- 22 Nov 2018
TL;DR: In this paper, a device for interaction between a laser beam and a hyperfine energy transition of a chemical species was proposed. But it is not yet known whether it can be used in the real world.
