TL;DR: COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized in the United States are highly effective in preventing COVID- 19-associated hospitalizations in older adults, and efforts to increase vaccination coverage in this age group are critical to reducing the risk for CO VID-19-related hospitalization.

TL;DR: There was an increase in emergency department visits by children and adolescents with ARI and asthma/RAD in late summer 2022 and the percentage of positive RV/EV and EV-D68 test results in national laboratory-based surveillance and in pediatric sentinel surveillance also increased during this time.
