Nanometer-Thick Nickel Oxide Films Prepared from Alanine-Chelated Coordination Complexes for Electrochromic Smart Windows
Ke Hsuan Wang,Hayato Ikeuchi,Masaaki Yoshida,Takafumi Miura,I. Ping Liu,Genta Watanabe,Siyang Cui,Takeshi Kawai +7 more
- 25 Sep 2020
TL;DR: In this article, the use of coordination complexes as metal precursors in electrodeposition of transition-metal oxides has been shown to be important for film formation at the nanoscale.

Effects of electrolyte pH on the formation of nickel oxide films and the corresponding electrochromic properties
Ke Hsuan Wang,Masaaki Yoshida,Hayato Ikeuchi,Genta Watanabe,Yuh Lang Lee,Chechia Hu,Takeshi Kawai +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of electrolyte pH on the formation of nickel oxide (NiOx) films in borate solutions and examine their corresponding electrochromic characteristics was investigated. But, the results were limited to the case of small grain size.

Iron Oxyhydroxide Hierarchical Micro/Nanostructured Film as Catalyst for Electrochemical Oxygen Evolution Reaction.
Ke-Hsuan Wang,Genta Watanabe,Hayato Ikeuchi,Siyang Cui,I-Ping Liu,Kanta Yamada,Masaaki Yoshida,Takeshi Kawai +7 more
TL;DR: The design of a hierarchical micro/nanostructured catalyst based on polystyrene colloidal template electrodeposition and electrochemical analysis indicates that the hierarchical catalyst has a large surface area and a low charge transfer resistance, which lead to its excellent catalytic performance for the OER.
Insights into the deposition of nanostructured nickel oxides by amino acid chelated Complexes: Benefits of mixed side chains in the formation of nanostructures for Energy-efficient Electrochromic windows
Ke-Hsuan Wang,Hayato Ikeuchi,Masaaki Yoshida,Shun Tsunekawa,I-Ping Liu,Siyang Cui,Ryoya Nagatsuka,Chechia Hu,Takeshi Kawai +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluate a strategy for electrodeposition of a high-performance EC nickel oxide by controlled release of Ni(II) ions from amino acid ligands.
