Probing solvent effects on mixed aggregates associating a chiral lithium amide and n-BuLi by NMR: from structure to reactivity
Gabriella Barozzino-Consiglio,Mathieu Rouen,Hassan Oulyadi,Anne Harrison-Marchand,Jacques Maddaluno +4 more
TL;DR: An NMR study of a 1 : 1 mixture of a chiral lithium amide and n-BuLi shows that depending on the solvent employed (Et2O or THF) a mixed aggregate can form in proportions that are directly related to the ees measured during the enantioselective alkylation of o-tolualdehyde by these same species.

Synthesis and biological testing of 3-phenyloctahydro-pyrimido[1,2-a]-s-triazine derivatives
TL;DR: A series of 46 3-phenyloctahydropyrimido[1,2-a]-s-triazine derivatives were synthesized in this article via iminodimethylation of dialkylated 2-aminopyrimidinedione synthons by substituted primary arylamines.

S-glycosyltransferase UGT74B1 can glycosylate both S- and O-acceptors: mechanistic insights through substrate specificity
Pierre Lafite,Sami Marroun,Gaël Coadou,Sabine Montaut,Stéphanie Marquès,Marie Schuler,Patrick Rollin,Arnaud Tatibouët,Richard Daniellou,Hassan Oulyadi +9 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that the glycosylation reaction rate is correlated to the acceptor atom acidity, and not to the nature of this nucleophilic atom (oxygen or sulfur).

UGT74B1 from Arabidopsis thaliana as a versatile biocatalyst for the synthesis of desulfoglycosinolates.
Sami Marroun,Sabine Montaut,Stéphanie Marquès,Pierre Lafite,Gaël Coadou,Patrick Rollin,Guillaume Jousset,Marie Schuler,Arnaud Tatibouët,Hassan Oulyadi,Richard Daniellou +10 more
TL;DR: Combining experiments from the different fields of enzymology, bioorganic chemistry and molecular modeling, the versatility of the glucosyltransferase UGT74B1 and its synthetic potency for the preparation of a variety of natural and unnatural desulfoglycosinolates is demonstrated.

Dihydroquinoline Carbamate DQS1-02 as a Prodrug of a Potent Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitor for Alzheimer’s Disease Therapy: Multigram-Scale Synthesis, Mechanism Investigations, in Vitro Safety Pharmacology, and Preliminary in Vivo Toxicology Profile
Florent Alix,Vincent Gembus,Laurent Coquet,Marie Hubert-Roux,Philippe Chan,Lina Truong,Muriel Sebban,Gaël Coadou,Hassan Oulyadi,Cyril Papamicaël,Vincent Levacher +10 more
- 27 Dec 2018
TL;DR: A practical multigram-scale nine-step synthesis of prodrug 1 with a good overall yield is reported as well as a full investigation on the inhibition mechanism of AChE by the parent drug 2 by means of UV–vis spectroscopy, NMR, and tandem mass spectrometry.
