TL;DR: The persistent lack of a thromboresistant microvasculature increases risk of subsequent CAD and graft failure in heart transplant patients, however, recovery of vascular antithrombin and development of unusual capillary antithROMbin binding improves allograft outcome.

Immunohistochemical model to predict risk for coronary artery disease and failure in heart transplant patients.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that early changes in the microvasculature are associated with impending coronary artery disease and graft failure in cardiac allograft recipients and suggests that treatment needs to be instituted early after transplantation in order to improve outcome.

Immunologic monitoring of the cardiac transplant patient.
TL;DR: Peripheral blood lymphocyte morphology and cell surface markers were repeatedly evaluated in 49 orthotopic cardiac transplant patients over a period of three years to determine the utility of these parameters in predicting an episode of acute cardiac rejection.
