Low‐energy conformations of two lysine‐containing tetrapeptides of collagen: Implications for posttranslational lysine hydroxylation

TL;DR: The results agree with experimental evidence suggesting that a type II bend is an important conformation for Ac‐Ala‐Lys‐Gly‐Ser‐NHCH3 and support an earlier suggestion that a β‐bend may play a role in the posttranslational hydroxylation of Lys residues in position Y of the Gly‐X‐Y triplet in collagen.

Vibrational quantum correction for the Lennard‐Jones fluid: A formalism of effective intermolecular potentials depending on mass and temperature
TL;DR: Using the Slater sum, a method is suggested for introducing a vibrational quantum correction into an intermolecular potential function as mentioned in this paper, which is useful for qualitative and quantitative formulations of mass and temperature-dependent effective potentials.
