Amide H/D exchange in the thermal transition of bovine pancreatic ribonuclease A.
TL;DR: The H/D exchange behavior of RNase A at pH 2.5 at a number of temperatures spanning the thermal transition region has been examined by NMR spectroscopy, showing that folding/unfolding cannot be described by a two-state model, and that both short- and long-range interactions are responsible for the slow rate of H/ D exchange.

An algorithm for packing regular multistrand polypeptide structures by energy minimization
TL;DR: An algorithm has been developed for packing polypeptide chains by energy minimization subject to regularity conditions, in which regularity is maintained without the addition of pseudoenergy terms by defining the energy as a function of appropriately chosen independent variables.

Application of frequency-shifted shaped pulses for overcoming solvent-saturation transfer and preirradiation-associated spin-diffusion effects in aqueous solutions of peptides and proteins
TL;DR: In this article, the dynamic range problem associated with digitizing the signal from the solute (typically about 1 to 5 mM) in the presence of the HZ0 solvent (with an effective ‘H concentration of about 110 M) was discussed.

A novel method to determine thermal transition curves of disulfide-containing proteins and their structured folding intermediates.
TL;DR: A new method is demonstrated, by using HPLC, for determining the thermal unfolding transitions of disulfide-containing proteins and their structured folding intermediates and the advantages of this method over traditional techniques are discussed.
