A convenient incorporation of conformationally constrained 5,5-dimethylproline into the ribonuclease A 89-124 sequence by condensation of synthetic peptide fragments.
TL;DR: This work describes synthesis of the C-terminal 36-residue peptide, corresponding to the 89-124 sequence of bovine pancreatic ribonuclease A (RNase A), in which dmP is incorporated as a substitute for Pro93.

Curvature and Torsion of Protein Main Chain as Local Order Parameters of Protein Unfolding.
Paul Grassein,Patrice Delarue,Adrien Nicolaï,Fabrice Neiers,Harold A. Scheraga,Gia G. Maisuradze,Patrick Senet,Patrick Senet +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider local order protein unfolding at the local scale and show that it resembles a global (two-state) phase transition, where protein unfolding is heterogeneous and probe dependent.

Native conformational tendencies in unfolded polypeptides: development of a novel method to assess native conformational tendencies in the reduced forms of multiple disulfide-bonded proteins.
TL;DR: This work has been able to assess the inherent conformational tendency present in reduced and unfolded bovine pancreatic ribonuclease A (RNase A) to dictate the formation of the full set of native disulfide bonds under conditions in which both reduction and disulfides reshuffling are extremely slow.
