Trimethylamine-N-oxide modulates the reductive unfolding of onconase
TL;DR: It is indicated that TMAO diminishes the reductive unfolding rate of the protein although it does not significantly affect the stability of the native protein relative to its denatured state.

Unblocked statistical-coil tetrapeptides in aqueous solution: quantum-chemical computation of the carbon-13 NMR chemical shifts.
TL;DR: It is suggested that it may be possible to build a reliable theoretically-derived database of chemical shifts for statistical-coil residues from Boltzmann-averaged and experimentally-determined values of the quantum-chemical 13C chemical shifts.

Local structure involving histidine-12 in reduced S-sulfonated ribonuclease A detected by proton NMR spectroscopy under folding conditions
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that short- and medium-range interactions can define short-lived local structures under conditions of temperature and solution composition at which the native protein structure is stable.

Coupling between conformation and proton binding in proteins.

TL;DR: This work indicates that for 6 out of 7 proteins, estimation of solvent polarization based on the Generalized Born model with a fixed charge distribution provides the optimal trade‐off between accuracy, with respect to the Poisson equation, and speed when compared to the accessible surface area model.
