Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy as a monitor of the pathway of the thermal unfolding of ribonuclease A.
TL;DR: Comparison of the temperature dependence of the rotational correlation times of the two differently located spin labels indicates a considerable difference between the temperatures at which separate regions of the protein molecule exhibit conformational mobility.

Bromination of Hydrocarbons. VII. Bromination of Isobutane. Bond Dissociation Energies from Bromination Kinetics
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the kinetics of the gas phase photochemical bromination of isobutane to yield 2 −bromo 2 −methylpropane in the temperature range 40-95°C and the reaction was found to proceed through an atom and radical chain mechanism analogous to that observed with a number of other hydrocarbons.

Simple physics-based analytical formulas for the potentials of mean force for the interaction of amino acid side chains in water. 1. Approximate expression for the free energy of hydrophobic association based on a Gaussian-overlap model
TL;DR: These expressions reproduce the desolvation maxima in the potentials of mean force of pairs of nonpolar solutes in water, and their advantage over the models based on molecular-surface area is that they have continuous gradients in the coordinates of solute centers.
