Folding of a disulfide-bonded protein species with free thiol(s): competition between conformational folding and disulfide reshuffling in an intermediate of bovine pancreatic ribonuclease A.
TL;DR: It is shown that the reshuffling-folding competition assay is a useful tool for detecting structured populations in conformational folding intermediates and a new model for coupling proline isomerization to disulfide-bond formation is revealed.

Conformational preferences of amino acid side chains in collagen
TL;DR: In this paper, the conformational energy of a Ch2CH3 side chain in Abu was mapped as a function of the dihedral angle χ 1, and their distributions were compared for the four sequences.

TL;DR: In this paper, reduced (coarse-grained) protein models are discussed, which can be used in simulating the structure, thermodynamics and dynamics of real proteins and are, at the same time, transferable.

Computation of low-energy crystalline arrangements of cellulose triacetate
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of changes in the main-chain conformation on the crystal packing of cellulose triacetate (CTA) has been investigated, based on a "two-dimers" unit cell as suggested for CTA I.
