Data Mining Practical Machine Learning Tools and Techniques

This work aims to review literature related to the latest cyber-physical systems (CPS) for manufacturing in the revolutionary Industry 4.0 for a comprehensive understanding of the challenges, approaches, and used techniques in this domain. Different published studies on CPS for manufacturing in Industry 4.0 paradigms through 2010 to 2019 were searched and summarized. We, then, analyzed the studies at a different granularity level inspecting the title, abstract, and full text to include in the prospective study list. Out of 626 primarily extracted relevant articles, we scrutinized 78 articles as the prospective studies on CPS for manufacturing in Industry 4.0. First, we analyzed the articles’ context to identify the major components along with their associated fine-grained constituents of Industry 4.0. Then, we reviewed different studies through a number of synthesized matrices to narrate the challenges, approaches, and used techniques as the key-enablers of the CPS for manufacturing in Industry 4.0. Although the key technologies of Industry 4.0 are the CPS, Internet of Things (IoT), and Internet of Services (IoS), the human component (HC), cyber component (CC), physical component (PC), and their HC-CC, CC-PC, and HC-PC interfaces need to be standardized to achieve the success of Industry 4.0.

Professor Otto Föllinger (1924–1999) leitete seit 1965 den Lehrstuhl für Regelungsund Steuerungssysteme an der Universität Karlsruhe. Er entwickelte das Karlsruher Institut zu einem Leuchtturm der akademischen regelungstechnischen Ausbildung, der auf den ganzen deutschen Sprachraum ausstrahlte. Neben Föllingers zahlreichen monographisch angelegten Lehrwerken erschien seine umfangreiche „Einführung in die Methoden der Regelungstechnik und ihre Anwendung“ seit 1972 wiederholt in durchgesehenen und verbesserten Auflagen. Nun haben die Professoren Ulrich Konigorski (TU Darmstadt), Boris Lohmann (TU München), Günter Roppenecker (Uni Erlangen-Nürnberg), Ansgar Trächtler (Uni Paderborn), die zwischen 1983 und 1991 an Föllingers Karlsruher Institut promoviert worden waren, die „Regelungstechnik“ ihres gemeinsamen Lehrers erneut überarbeitet und als „11., völlig neu bearbeitete Auflage“ drucken lassen. Im Vorwort der Neuauflage, die imSeptember 2013 erschien, nehmen die Bearbeiter Bezug auf die 6. Auflage, die Otto Föllinger 1990 veröffentlichen ließ, und skizzieren die ihnen nennenswerten Änderungen. Bei der Vorbereitung dieser Buchbesprechung hat der Berichterstatter deshalb die 6. und die 11. Auflage parallel aufgeschlagen und abschnittsweise verglichen. Alle Abschnitte der 6. Auflage, die sich mit Hardwareund Softwarerealisierungen, wie sie Ende der 1980er Jahre aktuell waren, befassten, konnten entfallen. Towards a modular product architecture for electric ferries using Model-Based Systems Engineering

[Context & Motivation] Due to the managerial, operational and evolutionary independence of constituent systems (CSs) in a System of Systems (SoS) context, top-down and linear requirements engineering (RE) approaches are insufficient. RE techniques for SoS must support iterating, changing, synchronizing, and communicating requirements across different abstraction and hierarchy levels as well as scopes of responsibility. [Question/Problem] We address the challenge of SoS requirements specification, where requirements can describe the SoS behavior, but also the behavior of CSs that are developed independently. [Principal Ideas] To support the requirements specification in an SoS environment, we propose a scenario-based and iterative specification technique. This allows requirements engineers to continuously model and jointly execute and test the system behavior for the SoS and the CS in order to detect contradictions in the requirement specifications at an early stage. [Contribution] In this paper, we describe an extension for the scenario-modeling language for Kotlin (SMLK) to continuously and formally model requirements on SoS and CS level. To support the iterative requirements specification and modeling we combine SMLK with agile development techniques. We demonstrate the applicability of our approach with the help of an example from the field of e-mobility.
