David Levinson,Hao Wu +1 more
TL;DR: This paper integrates and extends many of the concepts of accessibility deriving from Hansen’s (1959) seminal paper, and develops a theory of access that generalizes from the particular measures ofAccess that have become increasingly common.
The ensemble approach to forecasting: A review and synthesis

Hao Wu,David Levinson,Somwrita Sarkar +2 more
- 13 Nov 2019
TL;DR: In this article, a scaling model was proposed to explain much of the variation in transit use and residential land-use intensity with transit accessibility, finding that locations with high transit accessibility consistently have more riders and higher residential density.
Measuring polycentricity via network flows, spatial interaction and percolation:
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measure the number of central urban places by location-based metrics (e.g., employment density/total number of workers, above a threshold) and show that these metrics are g...

All ridership is local: Accessibility, competition, and stop-level determinants of daily bus boardings in Portland, Oregon
