Analysis of Diode Reverse Recovery Effect on ZVS Condition for GaN-Based LLC Resonant Converter
TL;DR: In this article, the reverse recovery charge (Q rr) is converted to an equivalent capacitance for the study of primary-side ZVS performance, and an accurate model during deadtime is derived and further applied to characterize ZVS condition with different reverse recovery charges in different regions.

An Investigation on Fully Zero-Voltage-Switching Condition for High-Frequency GaN Based LLC Converter in Solid-State-Transformer Application
Hao Wen,Jinwu Gong,Chih-Shen Yeh,Yaofei Han,Jason Lai +4 more
- 17 Mar 2019
TL;DR: In this article, the LLC converter works in the zerovoltage-switching (ZVS) region that the switching frequency (fs) is smaller than the resonant frequency (fr).

Controller and EMI filter design for modular front-end solid-state transformer
Jung-Muk Choe,Chih-Shen Yeh,Oscar Yu,Moonhyun Lee,Hao Wen,Jih-Sheng Lai,Lanhua Zhang +6 more
- 04 Mar 2018
TL;DR: Simulations showed the EMI filter reduced noise below FCC Class A standards and the results show that at low voltage level, the input current waveform is nearly sinusoidal.

Channel Turn-Off Energy Model for Zero-Voltage-Switching Wide Bandgap Devices
TL;DR: In this paper, a behavioral model of channel turn-off energy using a simple α − β equation for curve fitting is proposed, which can be applied to an entire current and voltage range.

Characterization and Evaluation of 3.3 kV 5 A SiC MOSFET for Solid-State Transformer Applications
Hao Wen,Jinwu Gong,Yaofei Han,Jason Lai +3 more
- 01 Oct 2018
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the characterization and evaluation of 3.3 kV, 5 A SiC MOSFETs at different working conditions, including static and dynamic tests with a Double Pulse Tester (DPT).
