An x-ray diffraction imaging (XDI) system having a system axis includes at least one x-ray source configured to generate x-rays directed toward an object that includes at least one substance. The at least one x-ray source is further configured to irradiate at least one voxel defined within the object with x-rays arriving from a plurality of directions, each direction defined by an angle of incidence with respect to the system axis. The system also includes at least one detector configured to detect scattered x-rays after the x-rays have passed through the object. The system further includes at least one processor coupled to the at least one detector. The processor is programmed to generate a plurality of XDI profiles of the object voxel. Each XDI profile is a function of an associated angle of incidence.

A geometrical structure for back scattering measurement and imaging is formed by a back scattering photon beam emitted by the fan-shaped transmission photon beam through an object to be measured and a back scattering detector array. A radiation shielding layer is arranged between the back scattering detector and the transmission X ray beam, a controllable multi-vane light bar is installed at a ray outlet, and all measurement and control can be finished by one industrial personal computer. The device utilizes the scanning technology combining back scattering and transmission, and is simple in structure, low in price, high in detection speed, high in sensitivity, small in human tolerant dose, free of individual privacy exposure, capable of detecting bombs, explosives, poisons and the like which are hidden in vests and underpants of a human body and suitable for large public safe sites.

The invention discloses a novel detector for liquid prohibited articles. The novel detector is characterized in that a front collimator is arranged on an X-ray machine which is arranged on an installing frame side plate; the installing frame side plate is positioned on a main installing plate; a storage drum bottom plate and a CBS detector are respectively arranged on the main installing plate; a rear collimator of the CBS detector is arranged on the CBS detector; and a TR detector array is arranged on the storage drum bottom plate. The novel detector disclosed by the invention has the advantages that a CBS technology and a TR technology are used simultaneously, wherein the CBS technology is used for distinguishing the liquid prohibited articles and safe articles, and the TR technology is used for absorbing and correcting a container so as to compensate CBS counting, and therefore, not only can the liquid prohibited articles be distinguished, but also the problem that a material of the container and different placing positions of the container in a storage drum have influence on a detection result can be solved.
