An organometallic single-ion magnet.
TL;DR: An organometallic single-ion magnet is synthesized with only 19 non-hydrogen atoms featuring an erbium ion sandwiched by two different aromatic ligands and shows a butterfly-shaped hysteresis loop at 1.8 K.

An azide-bridged homospin single-chain magnet: [Co(2,2'-bithiazoline)(N3)2]n.
TL;DR: A novel end-on azide-bridged homospin 1D chain, Co(bt)(N3)2 (1) (bt = 2,2'-bithiazoline), is constructed by sharing edges of Co(II) distorted octahedrons to form a helix, which shows magnetic hysteresis with steps and slow relaxation below 5-6 K, typical of single-chain magnet behavior.

Translocation and fate of multi-walled carbon nanotubes in vivo
Xiaoyong Deng,Xiaoyong Deng,Guang Jia,Haifang Wang,Hao-Ling Sun,Xiang Wang,Sheng-Tao Yang,Tonghua Wang,Yang Liu,Yang Liu +9 more
TL;DR: Using [14C-taurine]-multi-walled CNTs (MWCNTs) as tracers, this work shows the biodistribution and translocation pathways of MWCNTs in mice by three different routes and indicates low liver acute toxicity of M WCNTs.

Effects of straw mulching on soil temperature, evaporation and yield of winter wheat: field experiments on the North China Plain
TL;DR: The results showed that the existence of straw on the soil surface reduced the maximum, but increased the minimum diurnal soil temperature, which meant that the overall WUE of winter wheat was not improved by mulch.
