Accurate evaluation of hydrogen crossover in water electrolysis systems for wetted membranes
SeungHwan Kim,Bao Tran Duy Nguyen,Hansol Ko,Mijeong Kim,Kihyun Kim,Sang Yong Nam,Jeong F. Kim +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the pressure decay method as a simple, convenient, and low-cost method to characterize hydrogen crossover through wetted membranes for water electrolysis systems.

Study on Control of Polymeric Architecture of Sulfonated Hydrocarbon-Based Polymers for High-Performance Polymer Electrolyte Membranes in Fuel Cell Applications.
TL;DR: In this article, the structural engineering of sulfonated hydrocarbon polymers was used to develop hydrocarbon-based PEMs that exhibit outstanding proton conductivity for practical fuel cell applications, however, the main problem with the hydrocarbon based PEM is the relatively low protonconducting behavior compared to the PFSA ionomer-based membranes due to the difficulties associated with the formation of well-defined phase-separated structures between the hydrophilic and hydrophobic domains.

Self-Humidifying Membrane for High-Performance Fuel Cells Operating at Harsh Conditions: Heterojunction of Proton and Anion Exchange Membranes Composed of Acceptor-Doped SnP2O7 Composites.
Pilwon Heo,Mijeong Kim,Hansol Ko,Sang Yong Nam,Kihyun Kim +4 more
- 11 Oct 2021
TL;DR: In this article, a self-humidifying membrane was constructed by laminating together proton and anion exchange membranes composed of acceptor-doped SnP2O7 composites.
