A review on machine learning and deep learning for various antenna design applications

This paper proposes a fully convolutional variational autoencoder (VAE) for features extraction from a large-scale dataset of fire images. The dataset will be used to train the deep learning algorithm to detect fire and smoke. The features extraction is used to tackle the curse of dimensionality, which is the common issue in training deep learning with huge datasets. Features extraction aims to reduce the dimension of the dataset significantly without losing too much essential information. Variational autoencoders (VAEs) are powerfull generative model, which can be used for dimension reduction. VAEs work better than any other methods available for this purpose because they can explore variations on the data in a specific direction.

Code words traditional can be decoding when applied in artificial neural network. Nevertheless, explored rarely for encoding of artificial neural network so that it proposed encoder for artificial neural network forward with major structure built by Self Organizing Feature Map (SOFM). According to number of bits codeword and bits source mentioned the dimension of forward neural network at first then sets weight of distribution proposal choosing after that algorithm appropriate using for sets weight initializing and finally sets code word uniqueness check so that matching with existing. The spiking neural network (SNN) using as decoder of neural network for processing of decoding where depending on numbers of bits codeword and bits source dimension the spiking neural network structure built at first then generated sets codeword by network neural forward using for train spiking neural network after that when whole error reached minimum the process training stop and at last sets code word decode accepted. In tests simulation appear that feasible decoding and encoding neural network while performance better for structure network neural forward a proper condition is achieved with γ node output degree. The methods of mathematical traditional can not using for decoding generated Sets codeword by encoder network of neural so it is prospect good for communication security.

In this work, an overview of implementing machine learning (ML) models in antenna design and optimisation has been proposed. This includes deep learning on ML structure, categories, and frameworks to obtain useful and general insights about methods of predicting, collecting, and analysing high throughput fast data using ML techniques. An in-depth overview on the various published research works related to designing and optimising of antennas using ML is proposed, including the different ML- techniques and algorithms that have been used to generate antenna parameters such as S-parameters, radiation pattern, and gain values. However, the designing of modern antennae is still complicated regarding structure, variables, and environmental factors. Moreover, the cost of time and computational resources are unavoidable and unacceptable for most users. To address these challenges, ML methods-based antennas have been developed and applied to improve the reduction in the efficiency and accuracy of antenna modelling. This can be involved methods to rain models on data that can be utilised to predict the antenna performance for a given set of antenna design variables. This work summarises the developed and applied MLs that have been proposed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of antenna modelling

Beamforming against main lobe interference based on radial basis function neural network

In communication between planes and satellites, Optical Beamforming Networks (OBFNs), which rely on many small and flat Phased Array Antennas (PAAs), need to be tuned in order to receive signals from specific angles. In this paper, we develop a deep neural network representation of tuning OBFNs. The problem of tuning an OBFN is in many aspects similar to training a deep neural network. We present a way to exploit the special structure of OBFNs into deep neural network and an algorithm for tuning OBFNs based on feedback that can be easily measured in real system. Training data, which consists of full signals, can be measured, and therefore is used in this paper. For pilot signals, the desired signal is known explicitly. Given the configuration of OBFNs and all nominal parameters required, it was verified in simulation that the deep neural network can be used to tune large scale OBFNs for any desired delays.
