Interfacial reaction of atomic-layer-deposited HfO2 film as a function of the surface state of an n-GaAs (100) substrate
C. Y. Kim,Sang Wan Cho,Mann Ho Cho,Kwun-Bum Chung,Chee-Hong An,H. Kim,Han-Young Lee,Dae Hong Ko +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the characteristics of interfacial reactions and the valence band offset of HfO2 films grown on GaAs by atomic layer deposition by combining high-resolution x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and highresolution electron transmission microscopy.

Rational nanopositioning of homogeneous amorphous phase on crystalline tungsten oxide for boosting solar water oxidation
Yuan-Zhen Li,Minyeong Je,Jae-Kuk Kim,Chengkai Xia,Seung Hun Roh,W. So,Han-Young Lee,Dong-Hwan Kim,Sung Min Cho,Jong Wook Bae,Heechae Choi,Jung Kyu Kim +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , a rationally designed nanopositioning of a homogenous amorphous phase on the surface of crystalline metal oxide via a facile surface defect engineering to strongly enhance photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation is demonstrated.

Efficient high-power frequency doubling of distributed Bragg reflector tapered laser radiation in a periodically poled MgO-doped lithium niobate planar waveguide.
TL;DR: Good agreement between the experimental data and the theoretical predictions was observed and efficient single-pass, high-power second-harmonic generation in a periodically poled MgO-doped LiNbO3 planar waveguide using a distributed Bragg reflector tapered diode laser as a pump source is reported.
