Plant Polyphenols Attenuate DSS-induced Ulcerative Colitis in Mice via Antioxidation, Anti-inflammation and Microbiota Regulation
Huan Chen,Ying Li,Jinrui Wang,Ting Ting Zheng,Chenyang Wu,Mengyao Cui,Han-Yi Ye,Zhengqi Dong,Yunjie Dang +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the antioxidation-structure relationship of several common polyphenols in plants including gallic acid, proanthocyanidin, ellagic acid, and tannic acid was studied and the in vivo effects of the plant polyphenol on C57BL/6 mice with dextran-sulfate-sodium-induced ulcerative colitis were evaluated and the action mechanisms were determined.
Co-assembled nanocomplexes comprising epigallocatechin gallate and berberine for enhanced antibacterial activity against multidrug resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
Ting Ting Zheng,Mengyao Cui,Huan Chen,Jinrui Wang,Han-Yi Ye,Qianqian Zhang,Shuhui Sun,Yinghua Zhang,Wei Liu,Ying Li,Zhengqi Dong +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , a simple one-step method for preparing a novel nanocomposite BBR-EGCG nanoparticles was proposed, which exhibited improved biocompatibility and greater antibacterial effects both in vitro and in vivo relative to free-BBR and first-line antibiotics (i.e., benzylpenicillin potassium and ciprofloxacin).

Rhubarb polysaccharide and berberine co-assembled nanoparticles ameliorate ulcerative colitis by regulating the intestinal flora
Yifan Feng,Chenyang Wu,Huan Chen,T Zheng,Han-Yi Ye,Jinrui Wang,Yinghua Zhang,Jiaying Gao,Ying Li,Zhengqi Dong +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the carrier-free NPs formed by berberine and rhubarb polysaccharide based on the combination theory of Rheum palmatum L. and Coptis chinensis Franch were evaluated via IBD efficacy index.
