External radiotherapy combined with sorafenib has better efficacy in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Han Li,Zhen-Feng Wu,Jiali Chen,Ke Su,Lu Guo,Ke Xu,T. Gu,Yi Jiang,Pan Wang,Hao Zeng,Hao Chi,Kun He,Junwei Han +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , a meta-analysis aimed to compare efficacy of three combination strategies in treatment of advanced unresectable HCC with a view of guiding future selection of the best combination therapy for sorafenib and local therapy.
Effect of external beam radiation therapy versus transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for non-diffuse hepatocellular carcinoma (≥ 5 cm): a multicenter experience over a ten-year period
Keiziou Su,Fei Wang,Xueting Li,Hao Chi,Jianwen Zhang,Kun He,Zhaoyang Wang,Lian Xiao Wen,Yan-Hong Song,Jiali Chen,Zhen-Feng Wu,Yi Jiang,Han Li,Tao Gu,Chenjie Wang,Yaqi Li,Mengxiang Liu,Qulian Guo,Ke Xu,Lu Guo,Yunwei Han +20 more
TL;DR: EBRT is more effective than TACE as the primary local treatment for HCC with tumor diameter ≥ 5 cm, especially for H CC with tumoriameter of 5-10 cm, and multivariable Cox analysis showed that Child-A, alkaline phosphatase < 125 U/L, and EBRT were independent prognostic indicators for longer survival.

Thymidine kinase 1 appears to be a marker for the prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma based on a large-scale, multicenter study
Yi Jiang,Lu Guo,Lei Han,Han Li,Changlun Li,Lian Xiao Wen,Ya-lan Song,Zhaoyang Wang,Pan Wang,Qulian Guo,Wenxi Zhao,Mengxiang Liu,Jiali Chen,Zhen-Feng Wu,Yushan Yan,Ke Xu,T. Gu,Xue Wu,Kun He,Keiziou Su,Junwei Han +20 more
TL;DR: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) levels in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) prognosis and to develop a nomogram for predicting HCC prognosis, and to show good predictive capability for H CC prognosis.

A propensity score matching study on survival benefits of radiotherapy in patients with inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma
Hao Zeng,Ke Su,Xiaojing Chen,Xueting Li,Lian Xiao Wen,Yanqiong Song,Lan Chen,Han Li,Lu Guo,Junwei Han +9 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors found that RT significantly improves the survival time of patients with inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), thereby providing a basis for selecting HCC patients who can benefit from RT.
