Atherosclerotic Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and the Interaction Between Autologous Human Plaque-Derived Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells, Type 1 NKT, and Helper T Cells
Woon Ling Chan,Nada Pejnovic,Hamish Hamilton,Tze Vun Liew,Dusan Popadic,Alessandro Poggi,Shazia M. Khan +6 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the interactions of Type 1CD4+ T and CD4+CD161+ NKT cells with VSMCs may regulate VSMC proliferation and death respectively in atherosclerosis and the balance of these interactions could determine plaque stability.

Predominance of Th2 response in human abdominal aortic aneurysm: mistaken identity for IL-4-producing NK and NKT cells?
TL;DR: There is a need to use a combination of T and NK markers to fully characterize both innate and adaptive lymphoid cell subsets in local inflammatory infiltrates in order to elucidate their roles in AAA progression.

Appendicitis in an incisional hernia after radical nephrectomy: a case report.
TL;DR: This case looks into the presentation of appendicitis within an incisional hernia secondary to radical nephrectomy.

An Analysis of Cost Effectiveness and Clinical Outcomes of Elective Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair in a Tertiary Centre Over One Year
Lalana Songra,Daryll M. Baker,Meryl Davis,Jason Constantinou,Hamish Hamilton,Obiekezie Agu,Niamh Hynes +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors retrospectively compared EVAR, fenestrated EVAR (FEVAR), and open surgical repair (OSR) of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs), with a superior short-term safety profile.
O011 An analysis of cost effectiveness and clinical outcomes of elective abdominal aortic aneursym repair in a tertiary centre over one year
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors retrospectively compared Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR), Fenestrated EVAR (FEVAR) and Open Surgical Repair (OSR) of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) in a tertiary centre over 12 months, to determine whether FEVAR represents an affordable, clinically efficacious option in AAA repair.
