C-Reactive Protein/Albumin Ratio as a Novel Predictor of Contrast Induced Nephropathy in Patients With Stable Angina Pectoris
Ibrahim Halil Altiparmak,Zulkif Tanriverdi,Mustafa Begenc Tascanov,Fatih Güngören,Asuman Bicer,Halil Fedai,Kenan Toprak,Ali Nizami Elmas,Recep Demirbag +8 more
TL;DR: CAR was significantly greater in patients who developed CIN and this independently predicted CIN, while age, CRP, CAR, mean corpuscular volume, urea, uric acid, contrast medium volume, the percent of percutaneous coronary intervention were significantly greater, whereas albumin and high-density lipoprotein were significantly lower in the CIN group than non-CIN group.

The relationship between oxidative stress and autophagy and apoptosis in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
Halil Fedai,Ibrahim Halil Altiparmak,Mustafa Begenc Tascanov,Zulkif Tanriverdi,Asuman Bicer,Fatih Gungoren,Recep Demirbag,Ismail Koyuncu +7 more
TL;DR: The study showed that ATG5 and M30 were increased, and they were correlated with OS in patients with PAF, suggesting that autophagy and apoptosis may play an important role in the PAF process.

The Association of Electrical Risk Score with Prognosis in Patients with Non-ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction Undergoing Coronary Angiography.
Ali Nizami Elmas,Halil Fedai,Kenan Toprak,M. B. Taşcanov,Ibrahim Halil Altiparmak,Asuman Bicer,Recep Demirbag,Zulkif Tanriverdi +7 more
- 25 Nov 2024
TL;DR: This study investigates the association between Electrical Risk Score (ERS) and in-hospital prognosis in 427 non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) patients undergoing coronary angiography, finding ERS ≥3 as an independent predictor of in-hospital mortality.

Effect Of Fibroblast Growth Factor-21 Molecule On Coronary Collateral Development.
TL;DR: This study is the first to investigate the relationship between collateral formation and Fibroblast growth factor-21 and showed that FGF-21 level is an independent predictor of collateral formation.
Response to Letter: C-Reactive Protein/Albumin Ratio as a Novel Predictor of Contrast-Induced Nephropathy in Patients With Stable Angina Pectoris
TL;DR: In this article , Ma et al. calculated the immune-inflammation index (SII) after their comments and used the Man-Whitney U test for comparisons, and found that SII was increased in the contrast induced nephropathy (CIN) group compared with the non-CIN group, but without achieving significance.
