The Human P-Interferon Gene Enhancer nder Negative Control
Stephen Goodbourn,Hal Burstein,Tom Maniatis +2 more
- 01 Jan 1986
TL;DR: It is concluded that the p-interferon enhancer consists of a constltutive transcription element and a negative regulatory sequence that prevents enhancer activity prior to induction, suggesting that induction involves the modification of preexisting cellular factor(s).

TL;DR: Self-reported mean adherence for both P + ET and ET alone was strikingly high for pts who remained on therapy; persistence was also high with ET during the 2-year treatment period, illustrating the importance of measuring and monitoring patient adherence to oral study agents.
The human β-interferon gene enhancer is under negative control
TL;DR: The β-interferon enhancer consists of a constitutive transcription element and a negative regulatory sequence that prevents enhancer activity prior to induction, which appears to play a key role in the control of human β- interferon gene expression.
