Daily comparison of respiratory functions between on-pump and off-pump patients undergoing CABG.
Serdar Çimen,Vedat Özkul,Bülent Ketenci,Nurgül Yurtseven,Rafet Gunay,Banu Ketenci,Hakan Gercekoglu,Murat Demirtaş +7 more
TL;DR: Pulmonary functions and arterial blood gases were not improved in off-pump patients when compared with on-p Pump patients, and early discharge of patients with off-Pump surgery cannot be related merely to better preservation of respiratory functions.

Coronary artery stabilization causes endothelial damage: an electron microscopic study on dogs.
TL;DR: Bulldog occluders caused less injury on the coronary endothelium than the prolene sutures and mechanical epicardial devices, and the aim of this study was to show whether these stabilization devices cause any damage to the coronary artery endothelial injury.

Sternal wound complications in bilateral internal thoracic artery grafting: a comparison of the off-pump technique and conventional cardiopulmonary bypass.
Naz Bige Aydin,Tufan Sener,Ilknur Kiygil Kehlibar,Tansel Turkoglu,Osman Eren Karpuzoglu,Vedat Özkul,Hakan Gercekoglu +6 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the avoidance of CPB has no beneficial effect on the number of sternal wound complications in patients receiving bilateral internal thoracic artery grafting, however, further prospective, randomized studies on large patient groups are required.
