The Internet of Things IoT is regarded as the next generation worldwide network that connects every necessary object to facilitate our daily life Although it is only an abstract concept to some extent, a number of relevant undergoing researches make this blueprint more possible in the near future Those works involve wired and wireless sensor networks, mobile ad-hoc network, radio frequency identification, ubiquitous computing, etc Due to the inherent vulnerabilities of the internet, security and privacy issues should be considered and addressed before the IoT is widely deployed Authentication and access control are two key techniques to prevent a computer or network component from being compromised This paper mainly analyses existing authentication and access control methods, and then, it designs a feasible one for the IoT Potential future directions are discussed at the end of this paper

Consider the problem of energy loss caused by inefficient use of energy in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). A clustering energy-efficient transmission protocol for wireless sensor networks based on ant colony path optimization (CEETP-ACPO) is proposed. Firstly, use the distributed cluster computing energy-efficient routing scheme (DCCERS) to select cluster heads according to the center of gravity and the energy of nodes in the reachable range of nodes, then sensor nodes are clustered. Secondly, by using the improved ant colony path optimization algorithm, the optimal path is selected by the next-hop range of nodes controlled by the ring-angle search model and the transition probability calculated by the path pheromone, distance and current energy of the node. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed protocol.

Clustering energy-efficient transmission protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks based on ant colony path optimization

Distributed systems such as the grid, the cloud, and wireless sensor networks WSNs often involve cooperation and consequently require secure resource sharing across organisational boundaries. This adds an extra overhead that might negate the benefits of using these systems. WSNs and P2P services have similar underlying technologies and similar applications. One major problem hindering the success of these ubiquitous services is free riding. Many free riding algorithms proposed in the literature assume that all sensors are honest and collusion-free. These assumptions do not hold in environments such as WSNs and P2P, where autonomy and public subscription are key attributes. In this paper, we propose a free riding mitigation algorithm to countermeasure two types of attacks, namely dishonesty and collusion. We also conduct extensive experiments to evaluate our proposed solution.

Mitigating the effect of free riders in distributed systems: a trust-based approach

Cloud computing is fundamental for wireless sensor network. Firstly massive data is gathered by Wireless sensor. Then those data is sent to platform of cloud computing. In the platform data is shared and transferred. The whole System is controlled and managed. In the process reliable and integrity of data depends on performance of wireless sensor Networks Topology control is one of core key factors which can influence performance of wireless-sensor networks (WSN). So how to design topology structure with high reliable and survivability is becoming the important subject on wireless-sensor networks. For the issue, a topology evolution strategy based on scale-free network with energy efficient is proposed. First by clustering algorithm cluster nodes are distributed evenly. Then those nodes start evolving in accordance with random walk processes on scale-free network. Since some key factors such as residual energy of node and node degree are taken into account in evolving procedure, network topology obtains quality features such as load and energy balance. So the network is quite practical. Finally the simulation shows that network topology from the evolution algorithm have good robustness regardless of deliberate and random attack. Consequently robustness feature of wireless-sensor network under severe environment is satisfied. The Research of Scale-Free Sensor Network Topology Evolution Based on Cloud Computing

An essential method to overcome the high loss rates of wireless communication in sensor data collection is to use multi-path routing. In this paper, we investigate the construction of multi-path routing structures and develop an enhanced scheme for sensor data collection. In constructing multi-path routing structures, we limit the number of messages that each node transmits and receives in data collection to achieve a required energy efficiency level. Then, we design and analyse an enhanced data collection scheme in which sensor nodes exploit the broadcast nature of wireless transmission to overhear their neighbours. This increases the numbers of data propagation paths from sensor nodes to the base station and improves the robustness of data collection without sacrificing the latency of data collection. Experimental results show that our methods achieve significantly better trade-offs among the robustness, latency and energy efficiency of data collection.
