This paper presents a low cost prototype of wireless power transfer system based on resonant coupling. The system here proposed can be useful for house appliances battery charging systems: as a matter of fact, it consists mainly of two copper wire coils or windings, placed one in front of the other on the same axis. By exploiting the coils resonance coupling effect, electric energy can be transferred from the inductor coil to the receiver in order to charge the batteries. Low cost experimental tests demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed wireless power transfer prototype, being it capable to reach an efficiency of about 80% and more along a distance of 30 cm.

Wireless Power Transmission for house appliances: A small-scale resonant coupling prototype

We present a design framework for wirelessly powered generic computing platforms that takes into account various system parameters in response to a time-varying energy source. These parameters are the charging profile of the energy source, computing speed (fclk), digital supply voltage (VDD), energy storage capacitance (Cs), and power conversion efficiency (η). We address both continuous and discrete operational modes of computation based on the energy source's charging profile. Unlike other reported works where investigations are limited to wireless energy transfer and functional demonstrations, our aim is to develop a theoretical model that comprises the complete system architecture by combining energy transfer and consumption in a step-by-step manner. We show that field resilience operation in a wireless energy field can be incorporated by modulating the power consumption in the digital platform in response to changing energy fields using this analysis. This paper also allows guidelines for choosing the appropriate computing policies based on the charging profile of energy source. This leads to an optimal, adaptive use of available energy in order to optimize the overall performance.

Architectural Analysis for Wirelessly Powered Computing Platforms

In this paper, a design circuit of neutral point type buck boost has been utilized for wireless transfer energy application. Resonance magnetic field was used as the preferred wireless energy transfer approach due to its ability to generate high efficiency and an increased in distance between the transmitting and receiving coil. The constructed circuit has been found to be able to transmit a DC voltage output to the receiver coil with relatively small ripple voltage output at a limited range of around 15 centimetres.

In the near-field, contactless techniques such as inductive coupling and capacitive coupling are employed in WPT. In the medium-field WPT, a magnetic resonant coupling approach is employed. Electromagnetic radiation is used in the far-field WPT. Energy encryption is crucial in ensuring that electricity is delivered to the intended recipient. The energy encryption methods used in the WPT system are therefore reviewed in this study. A study of several techniques reveals that the distance, effectiveness, and quantity of receivers are the primary determinants of the most appropriate energy.

The paper presents the research work focusing on the possibility to transmit power via the air]. The ubiquitous edge requires a smaller size, lower weight with a good energy on-board management. This work shows not only the possibility of wireless power transfer, but also the biological effect is taken into account for the safety precaution of human use. The system is described and set up using the resonance tunnel effect and matching impedance for multi-stage converter. The transmitting power up to 80 W is applied at a frequency of 6.78 MHz across a gap in the range of 30 mm to 120 mm. The experimental results show that the maximum efficiency achieved is about 85%. The maximum transmitted power density achieved is up to 0.14 W/mm2.
