Geochemical performance evaluation of pre-flushing of weak and strong acids during pH-triggered polymer flooding
TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model to predict acid pre-flush behavior before the main pH-triggered polymer flooding was developed to improve the conformance control of hydrocarbon formations.

Acid pre-flushing evaluation before pH-sensitive microgel treatment in carbonate reservoirs: Experimental and numerical approach
TL;DR: In this paper, a compositional reactive flow model (ADvection-diffusion-reaction) is used to analyze the behavior of pH-sensitive microgel flooding experiments and a 3D field-scale reservoir simulation model with high-permeability contrast is then implemented.

Modeling geochemical reactions of citric acid with ankerite cement during sandstone matrix acidizing
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of multi-step dissociation of citric acid on lowering rock pH was investigated, and the sugar-lump approach was used to estimate the behavior of the ions concentration originated from the variation of the reactive surface area (RSA).
