First experimental results with new ICRF antenna in EAST
X.J. Zhang,H. Yang,Chengming Qin,Shuai Yuan,Y. P. Zhao,Y.S. Wang,L.N. Liu,Yuzhou Mao,Ya Cheng,Xianzu Gong,G. S. Xu,Y. Song,J.G. Li,B. N. Wan,K. Zhang,Bo Zhang,Lin Ai,G.X. Wang,Y. Guo +18 more
TL;DR: A new ion cyclotron range of frequency (ICRF) antenna, instead of a B-port antenna, is installed at the N-port to improve the power coupling in the 2021 experimental advanced superconducting tokamak (EAST) experimental campaign as mentioned in this paper .

Influence of ICRF-NBI synergy on fast ion distribution and plasma performance in second harmonic heating experiments with deuterium NBI at EAST
W. Zhang,G. Zhu,X.J. Zhang,Guoqiang Zhong,Lin Ai,Y. Chu,Tieshuan Fan,H.C. Fan,Baolong Hao,J. Huang,Y.F. Jin,L.N. Liu,L. Y. Liao,Qing Liang,G X Wang,D.K. Yang,H. Yang +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the influence of ICRF-NBI synergy on fast ion distribution and plasma performance was analyzed in a typical H-mode plasma with 1.0 MW neutral beam injection and 1.5 MW ion cyclotron heating.
Conceptual design and optimization of an ITER-type ICRF antenna on CFETR
W. Zhang,Q. Liang,Chengming Qin,X.J. Zhang,Y.S. Wang,H. Yang,L.N. Liu,G. Zhu,Yuzhou Mao,Shuai Yuan,Ya Cheng +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the physical design of a CFETR antenna in the midplane port is carried out, and parameter scans were performed to study the optimized toroidal and poloidal numbers of straps as well as the optimized geometric sizes of the straps.

Observation and analysis of lower-hybrid-current-drive density limit in EAST
M. H. Li,Seung Gyou Baek,G.M. Wallace,Bing Ding,C.B. Wu,G.H. Yan,P.T. Bonoli,Mu Wang,L. Liu,L. M. Zhao,Z.G. Wu,H. Yang,S. Y. Lin,Qiong Zhang,Ning Yan,H. Zhao,J. Huang,X. Zhai,X.X. Li,X.J. Zhang,X. Gong +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper , lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) experiments with line-averaged density up to ∼5.1 × 1019 m−3 were performed in EAST L-mode plasmas, and the experimental results showed that the LHCD density limit can be increased with higher wave source frequency (f 0) and higher magnetic field (B t).

First results from third harmonic ion cyclotron acceleration of deuterium beams in EAST ion heating studies experiments
G. Zhu,W. Zhang,X M Zhang,G.W. Zhong,C. Qin,L. Liu,H. Yang,L. Liao,Ya Cheng,Y. J. Mo,Shuai Yuan,Y. F. Wang,Hao Li,Ji Luo +13 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors showed that the neutron yield increases nonlinearly as the ICRF power or plasma density increases, which is roughly consistent with the experimental results.
