Selection of Recombinant Antibodies Specific for Pathogenic Streptococcus suis by Subtractive Phage Display
TL;DR: Only one distinct phage antibody was found, and it was shown to be directed against extracellular factor, a protein known to be exclusively associated with pathogenic S. suis serotype 2 strains, and this demonstrates the selectivity of the applied procedure and confirms that EF is indeed differentially expressed by pathogenic and nonpathogenic strains.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented a method for making and using compositions of the invention and their use for stimulating an immune response to Streptococcus suis in animals, preferably swine or humans.
Rapid detection of Streptococcus uberis in raw milk by loop-mediated isothermal amplification.
TL;DR: The described LAMP assay may offer a simple alternative for convenient and sensitive detection of S. uberis in raw milk, provided a compatible rapid DNA isolation procedure is available.
