Biometric Recognition - Security and Privacy Concerns.

In recent years, influencers on social media platforms have received substantial attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. Influencers impact consumer purchase intentions, and credibility plays a mediating role in the link between these variables. A survey was conducted in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia with 312 respondents, and partial least squares (PLS-SEM) were used for data analysis. The findings indicate that a significant link was identified between SMIs and purchase intentions, and credibility was determined to play a mediating role between these variables. Furthermore, the findings contribute to understanding customer behavior. The paper discusses the implications and opportunities for the future research.

The Influence of the Credibility of Social Media Influencers SMIs on the Consumers’ Purchase Intentions: Evidence from Saudi Arabia

Generation Z is gaining more and more importance in the market—not only is it attaining purchasing power, but it is also setting trends. This is the generation that spends a lot of time on various social media channels, and the content posted there is a source of information, inspiration and motivation for them. Its representatives are very skeptical about traditional marketing messages, so the best way to reach them is to use influencer marketing. They are also sensitive to environmental problems and ecology. For this reason, the purpose of this paper was to identify the possibility of using influencer marketing to promote green energy in the perspective of Generation Z in Poland. The CAWI method of research was carried out April–June 2022 on a sample of 533 people aged 18 to 26, selected using a quota method. The analysis used statistically significant structure indices (percentages) and measures of correlations between the variables. The results presented confirmed the enormous popularity of social media among the representatives of Generation Z, as well as the great involvement of young consumers in tracking the activity of influencers. More than half of the respondents indicated the usefulness of influencers promoting green energy, but at the same time the vast majority of them declared that the choice of green energy in their case was determined by the opinions of other people, and that the role of influencers was negligible.

Influencer Marketing as a Tool in Modern Communication—Possibilities of Use in Green Energy Promotion amongst Poland’s Generation Z

As technology has become pivotal a part of life, it has also become a part of criminal life. Criminals use new technology developments to commit crimes, and investigators must adapt to these changes. Many people have, and will become, victims of cybercrime, making it even more important for investigators to understand current methods used in cyber investigations. The two general categories of cyber investigations are digital forensics and open-source intelligence. Cyber investigations are affecting more than just the investigators. They must determine what tools they need to use based on the information that the tools provide and how effectively the tools and methods work. Tools are any application or device used by investigators, while methods are the process or technique of using a tool. This survey compares the most common methods available to investigators to determine what kind of evidence the methods provide, and which of them are the most effective. To accomplish this, the survey establishes criteria for comparison and conducts an analysis of the tools in both mobile digital forensic and open-source intelligence investigations. We found that there is no single tool or method that can gather all the evidence that investigators require. Many of the tools must be combined to be most effective. However, there are some tools that are more useful than others. Out of all the methods used in mobile digital forensics, logical extraction and hex dumps are the most effective and least likely to cause damage to the data. Among those tools used in open-source intelligence, natural language processing has more applications and uses than any of the other options.

The application of Industry 4.0 in continuous professional development (CPD)

Imaging SSDs is problematic due to TRIM commands and garbage collectors that make the SSD behave inconsistently over time. It is this inconsistency that can cause a difference between images taken of the SSD. These differences result in unmatched hash number generation and would normally be attributed to contamination or spoliation of digital evidence. DaP is a proposed method that ensures all images taken of the SSD are consistent and removes the volatility normally associated with these devices. DaP is not focused with the recoverability of deleted data, however DaP does stabilise the device to prevent unintentional contamination due to garbage collection. Experiments show that the DaP method works on a range of devices and consistently produces the hash-identical images. The conclusions are to consider DaP as a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) when imaging SSDs.
