Pluchea indica is applicable for anti-fertility on male wistar rats. It is then necessary to conduct further study on the correlation between testosterone and spermatogenic cell after the treatment of active compounds of Pluchea indica in various dosages. This study used experimental design by experimenting on 21 male wistar rats to undergo 7 treatments and 3 repetitions. Randomized group design was employed with controlled treatment, tannin 4.7 mg, tannin 9.4 mg, tannin 14.1 mg, combination (alkaloid+tannin+flavonoid) 4.7 mg, combination (alkaloid+tannin+flavonoid) 9.4 mg and combination (alkaloid+tannin+flavonoid 14.1 mg). The correlation between testosterone and spermatogenic cell was analyzed 
by means of Pearson correlation and regression. The findings of this study showed that p = 0.016; r = 0.458; r square 0.209 and the regression equation Y=1707.429+247.367x. The data p < 0.05 showed that there is correlation between testosterone and spermatogenic cell on male wistar rats after the treatment of active compounds of Pluchea indica (combination of alkaloid+tannin+flavonoid) 
in various dosages (4.1 mg; 9.4 mg and 14.1 mg). There is correlation between the level of testosterone hormone and the number of spermatogenic cell on male wistar rats after the treatment of active compounds of Pluchea indica. The tendency is that the lower the level of testosterone hormone, the lower the number of spermatogenic cell on male wistar rats after the treatment of active compounds of Pluchea indica

Virgin Coconut Oil memiliki kandungan vitamin E dan polifenol yang mampu meningkatkan enzim-enzim antioksidan dan menurunkan kandungan peroksida, sedangkan olive oil berperan sebagai antioksidan karena adanya oleocanthal dan oleuropein yang serupa dengan vitamin E. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat VCO dan olive oil terhadap spermatogenesis. Penelitian ini menggunakan 25 ekor tikus jantan yang terdiri atas 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P0: kontrol, P1: pakan dengan penambahan VCO 5 ml/kg pakan, P2: pakan dengan penambahan VCO 10 ml/kg pakan, P3: pakan dengan penambahan olive oil 5 ml/kg pakan, dan P4: pakan dengan penambahan olive oil 10 ml/kg pakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Variabel yang diamati adalah jumlah spermatogonia, jumlah spermatosit primer, dan bobot testis. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ANOVA pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan uji lanjut Duncan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata pada pemberian VCO dan olive oil terhadap jumlah spermatogonia dan bobot testis, serta berbeda nyata terhadap jumlah spermatosit primer. Simpulan dari penelitian ini VCO dan olive oil dapat meningkatkan jumlah spermatosit primer pada tubulus seminiferus. Kata kunci : Virgin Coconut Oil, olive oil, testis

Respon Pemberian Virgin Coconut Oil dan Olive Oil Terhadap Mikroanatomi Testis Tikus Putih Jantan (Rattus norvegicus)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bee pollen terhadap peningkatan jumlah spermatosit primer dan kualitas tubulus seminiferous pada tikus putih yang terpapar asap rokok. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang menggunakan rancangan penelitian Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah tikus putih jantan dengan umur 3-4 bulan dengan kisaran berat badan 200 gram, sebanyak 18 ekor tikus dibagi tiga kelompok yaitu 6 ekor tikus kelompok kontrol, 6 ekor tikus kelompok P1, dan 6 ekor tikus kelompok P2. P0 = kelompok tanpa pemberian bee pollen terpapar asap rokok, P1 = kelompok dengan pemberian satu dosis bee pollen terpapar asap rokok, dan P2 = kelompok dengan pemberian dua dosis bee pollen terpapar asap rokok. Seluruh tikus diberikan masa adaptasi selama satu minggu, lalu diberi perlakuan selama 42 hari. Pada hari ke 43, tikus akan dinekropsi dan akan dilihat histologi dari tubulus seminiferous. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan secara bermakna pada jumlah spermatosit primer dan kualitas tubulus seminiferous pada pemberian bee pollen. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian bee pollen dapat meningkatkan jumlah spermatosit primer dan memperbaiki kualitas tubulus seminiferous pada tikus yang terpapar asap rokok. Dari hasil penelitian ini perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut pengukuran kadar radikal bebas dalam jaringan testis tikus putih yang terpapar asap rokok pada sistem reproduksinya.

The influence of Vernonia cinerea Less. on spermatogenesis of rat has been investigated. This research was held into two steps. The first activity was isolation and purification of the herb of. V. cinerea Less.. The purity of isolate was showed by the appearance of only one spot on chromatogram and its physical characteristic. The second step was identification the spermatogenesis using three groups of rat for 49 days namely i.e. normal group that was administered by normal saline, group I that is administered by 0.05 mg/g body weight of V. cinerea Less. isolate i.p., and group II that was administered by 0.025 mg/g B.W of V. cinerea Less. isolate i.p. Histological preparat with PAS- Hematoxylin dyeing was used in tubulus seminiferus observation. The result showed the cocci form of tubulus seminiferus and basalis membrane appearance. This concluded that the isolate of V. cinerea Less. herbs influenced the spermatogenesis of rat.
