High-Current Vacuum Arc: The Relationship Between Anode Phenomena and the Average Opening Velocity of Vacuum Interrupters
TL;DR: In this article, high-speed photography was used to observe the anode phenomena of the vacuum arc discharge in vacuum interrupters, and the experimental results showed that, with the arc current increasing, there was a threshold current I1st (peak value) at which a high-current anode mode first appeared, while, at the velocity of 1.8 m/s, it was most probably an anode spot and sometimes it was a footpoint.

High-Current Vacuum Arc Phenomena of Nanocrystalline CuCr25 Contact Material
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the high-current vacuum arc phenomena of a nanocrystalline CuCr25 (Cr 25 wt%) contact material, and the results showed that both the arc energy and the mean value of the arc voltage of the nano-copper contact material were lower than those of the micro-crystalline one under the same experimental conditions.
