Automated manipulation of zebrafish embryos using an electrothermal microgripper
Zhuo Zhang,Yueqing Yu,Peng Song,Yatao Zhang,Dongming Tian,Huipeng Zhang,Hongmiao Wei,Mingyu Cui,Guoning Si,Xuping Zhang +9 more
TL;DR: The whole process of zebrafish embryo microinjection is programed and performed automatically, thus demonstrating great strengths and performance of the microgripper in zebra fish embryo micro-manipulation.

Design, Fabrication, and Testing of a Novel 3D 3-Fingered Electrothermal Microgripper with Multiple Degrees of Freedom.
TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D three-fingered electrothermal micro gripper with multiple degrees of freedom (multi DOF) is presented, where each finger is composed of a V-shaped actuator providing one DOF and a U-shaped one providing two DOF in the plane perpendicular to the movement of the V-shape actuator.

Integrating Dynamics into Design and Motion Optimization of a 3-PRR Planar Parallel Manipulator with Discrete Time Transfer Matrix Method
TL;DR: A new dynamic performance index, namely, driving force index (DFI), is proposed based on the established dynamic model of a 3-PRR planar parallel manipulator for the first time and integrated into the motion and design optimization of parallel robot manipulators.
Macro-to-micro positioning and auto focusing for fully automated single cell microinjection
TL;DR: Algorithms and methods for the macro-to-micro positioning and auto focusing of the microgripper jaws with the success rate 100% and 90%, respectively are presented.
