The cation effect on adsorption of surfactant in the froth flotation of low-grade diasporic bauxite
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of common water hardness cations (Ca2+ and Mg2+) on the recovery of diaspore and kaolinite using micro-flotation at various pH values was investigated.

Studies on the surface oxidation and its role in the flotation of mixed Cu-Ni sulfide ore
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of surface oxidation on the Cu Ni sulfide flotation was studied, and the results showed that the surface oxidation had a stronger depression effect on CuNi sulfide than that on single pyrite and chalcopyrite mineral samples.

Study on the structure of Bayer liquor with spectroscopy and MD simulation
TL;DR: In this article, the combination of Raman and IR and MD simulation was applied to explore the structure characters of Bayer liquor, and it was found that the maximum concentration of Al ( OH ) 4 - occurs in low caustic solutions, but in high causic solution, the appearance of Al( OH ) 6 3 - was found.

Selective separation of smithsonite from quartz by using sodium polyaspartate as a depressant
TL;DR: In this paper , an easily degradable depressant, sodium polyaspartate (PASP), was introduced into the selective separation of smithsonite and Zn2+-activated quartz with sodium oleate (NaOL) as a collector.

Effect of surface oxidization on quartz slime coating in the sulfidization-amine flotation of smithsonite
TL;DR: Zeta potential measurements and DLVO theory calculations confirmed the stronger interaction between quartz slime and the surface of the smithsonite samples with high oxidization, and XPS analysis further illustrated that the oxidation of sulfide products to sulfate species was an important reason for the deterioration of the slime coating as mentioned in this paper .
