The invention discloses an external force damage prevention early warning system of an underground power cable based on an optical fiber vibration sensing technology. The system comprises an optical fiber vibration sensor assembly, a temperature and humidity sensor, a noise sensor, a sensing signal acquisition unit, a signal transmission unit and a monitoring and early warning platform, wherein the temperature and humidity sensor and the noise sensor are respectively connected with the signal transmission unit through the sensing signal acquisition unit; the optical fiber vibration sensor assembly is connected with the signal transmission unit; the signal transmission unit is connected with a microprocessor; and the microprocessor is connected with the monitoring and early warning platformthrough a wireless transmission module. The system also comprises an alarm unit, a comparison unit and a storage unit, wherein the alarm unit, the comparison unit and the storage unit are respectively connected with the microprocessor. The system has the advantages that the working principle is simple, the underground power cable can be monitored in real time, an alarm signal is sent immediatelybefore damage, and in addition, a damage position also can be positioned.

The method comprises the steps of carrying out the wavelet packet decomposition of an original output signal of an optical fiber current transformer through employing an optimal wavelet basis function, and obtaining a plurality of frequency band signals with different frequencies, basedon a preset low-frequency range, a power-frequency range and a high-frequency range, reconstructing a low-frequency signal, a power-frequency signal and a high-frequency signal by utilizing the signals of each frequency band, calculating a time domain feature index based on the low-frequency signal, the power frequency signal, the high-frequency signal and the original optical fiber current transformer output signal, combining and constructing an original fault feature vector set based on all time domain feature indexes, and processing the original fault feature vector set by adopting a principal component analysis method to obtain a fault feature vector set corresponding to the gradient fault. The influence of high-frequency components and power-frequency components on weak fault signalsin the operation process of the power grid is reduced, and the accuracy of fault diagnosis by using output signals is improved.
