Morphology Control for Al 2 O 3 Inclusion Without Ca Treatment in High-Aluminum Steel
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the thermodynamic equilibrium behavior between aluminum and oxygen in steel at 1873 K (1600 K) and demonstrated that, the dissolved [O] initially decreases with increasing dissolved [Al] until approximately 0.1 to 1.1 W pct [Al], and after that the dissolved[O] increases with [Al].
Modeling Dynamics of Agglomeration, Transport, and Removal of Al2O3 Clusters in the Rheinsahl–Heraeus Reactor Based on the Coupled Computational Fluid Dynamics-Population Balance Method Model
TL;DR: In this article, a coupled 3-D computational fluid dynamics-population balance model (CFD-PBM) is developed to simulate the behaviors of Al2O3 inclusions in a Rheinsahl-Heraeus (RH) reactor.

Effect of FeO content in Slag on formation of MgOfflAl2O3 inclusion for Al-killed steel
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of FeO content in slag on formation of MgOfflAl2 O3 inclusion for Al-killed steel, and thermodynamic and kinetics analysis are made to explain the experimental phenomena.

Castability of Aluminum- and Sulfur-bearing Free-cutting Steel
TL;DR: In this article, the formation behavior of non-metallic inclusions and an optimization direction for improving castability was provided for improving the performance of continuous casting of Al and S-containing steel, which has a negative effect on the smooth production and product quality.

Optimization of calcium addition to high-strength low-alloy steels
TL;DR: In this paper, a nonmetallic inclusion control method was used to optimize the Ca consumption in a continuous casting of Al-killed steel, and the steel cleanliness before Ca addition was improved significantly.
