Adrenergic Modulation of Ultrarapid Delayed Rectifier K+ Current in Human Atrial Myocytes
TL;DR: Isoproterenol increased IKur in a concentration-dependent manner, with significant effects at concentrations as low as 10 nmol/L, and was mimicked by the direct adenylate cyclase stimulator, forskolin, and by the membrane-permeable form of cAMP, 8-bromo cAMP.

Evidence for Two Components of Delayed Rectifier K+ Current in Human Ventricular Myocytes
TL;DR: It is shown that the expression of IK is strongly influenced by cell isolation techniques, and the presence of functionally important IK in the human heart is suggested to be functionally important.

Antisense Oligodeoxynucleotides Directed Against Kv1.5 mRNA Specifically Inhibit Ultrarapid Delayed Rectifier K+ Current in Cultured Adult Human Atrial Myocytes
TL;DR: Cells exposed to antisense showed a highly significant reduction in IKur, whether measured by step current at the end of a 400-millisecond depolarizing pulse, tail current at −20 mV, or current sensitive to a concentration of 4-aminopyridine that is highly selective for IK Kur, compared with c...

Ionic Remodeling Underlying Action Potential Changes in a Canine Model of Atrial Fibrillation
TL;DR: Voltage-clamp studies showed that chronic rapid pacing did not alter inward rectifier K+ current, rapid or slow components of the delayed rectifier current,...
