Mechanisms of Copper Ion Mediated Huntington's Disease Progression
Jonathan H. Fox,Jibrin A. Kama,Gregory Lieberman,Raman Chopra,Kate Dorsey,Vanita Chopra,Irene Volitakis,Robert A. Cherny,Ashley I. Bush,Ashley I. Bush,Steven M. Hersch +10 more
TL;DR: It is found that elevations of copper and iron found in human HD brain are reiterated in the brains of affected HD transgenic mice, and LDH inhibition is relevant to neurodegeneration in HD, support a role of pro-oxidant copper-protein interactions in HD progression and offer a novel target for pharmacotherapeutics.
White matter involvement in chronic musculoskeletal pain
Gregory Lieberman,Marina Shpaner,Richard Watts,Trevor Andrews,Trevor Andrews,Christopher G. Filippi,Marcia Davis,Magdalena R. Naylor +7 more
TL;DR: White matter abnormalities play a role in chronic musculoskeletal pain as a cause, a predisposing factor, a consequence, or a compensatory adaptation, and some of these differences are directly related to symptom severity.

Brain dynamics of post-task resting state are influenced by expertise: Insights from baseball players.
Jordan Muraskin,Sonam Dodhia,Gregory Lieberman,Javier O. Garcia,Timothy Verstynen,Jean M. Vettel,Jason Sherwin,Paul Sajda +7 more
TL;DR: Generally, it is found that brain dynamics in the post‐task resting state differ as a function of subject expertise and potentially result from differences in both functional and structural connectivity.

Fusing Multiple Neuroimaging Modalities to Assess Group Differences in Perception–Action Coupling
Jordan Muraskin,Jason Sherwin,Gregory Lieberman,Javier O. Garcia,Timothy Verstynen,Jean M. Vettel,Paul Sajda +6 more
- 01 Jan 2017
TL;DR: This novel method illustrates how multimodal neuroimaging can provide specific macroscale insights into the functional and structural correlates of expertise development.

Interactive voice response technology for symptom monitoring and as an adjunct to the treatment of chronic pain
TL;DR: This review summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of IVR technology, provides evidence for the efficacy of the method in monitoring and managing chronic pain, and addresses potential future directions that the technology may take as a therapeutic intervention in its own right.
