Self-starting optical pulsator based 10-Gbit/s RZ-BPSK down-stream and re-modulated RZ-OOK up-stream link
Yu-Chieh Chi,Gong-Ru Lin +1 more
- 06 Mar 2011
TL;DR: In this paper, a synthesizer-free 10Gbit/s down-stream PRZ-BPSK and re-modulated up-stream RZ-OOK bi-directional transmission with receiving sensitivity of <−17dBm at BER=10−9 is demonstrated using a self-pulsating optical carrier with ultralow-jitter of 0.6 ps and high-extinction of 8.5 dB.
Waveform sampling of freerunning frequency prescaled probing technique microwave signals by using delay-line-free electrgoptic
Gong-Ru Lin,Shr-Hsiung Hung,Chung Hsiao +2 more
- 01 Jan 2001
TL;DR: In this paper, a delay-line-free electre optic sampling system with a voltage-controlled phase-tunable circuit was used to discriminate the frequency and phase of an unknown or freerunning signal.
Continuously tunable phase controller for microwave oscillators by using optoelectronic phase-lock loop
Gong-Ru Lin
- 17 Nov 1999
TL;DR: In this article, a laser-diode-based optoelectronic phase-locked loop (OEPLL) was developed for phase tracking free-running microwave signals beyond 20 GHz.
All-optical OC-192 NRZ-to-PRZ data-format conversion by injection-locking a synchronously modulated Fabry-Perot laser diode
Yung-Cheng Chang,Yu-Huang Lin,Jyehong Chen,Gong-Ru Lin +3 more
- 22 May 2005
TL;DR: In this article, an OC-192 all-optical non-return-to-zero to pseudo-return to zero data format converter with 15 dB power penalty at bit-error-rate of <10/sup -9/ is demonstrated by employing an optical-injection-induced threshold reduction technique to gain-switch a Fabry-Perot laser diode synchronously modulated at below threshold condition.
Phase noise and supermode suppression in harmonic mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser with a semiconductor optical amplifier based high-pass filter
Ming-Chung Wu,Yung-Cheng Chang,Gong-Ru Lin +2 more
- 06 Mar 2005
TL;DR: In this article, the variations and trade-off between the single side band phase noise, supermode noise suppression ratio and pulsewidth of a mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser with an intra-cavity semiconductor optical amplifier based high-pass filter are discussed.
