Characterization of large cadmium zinc telluride crystals grown by traveling heater method
Henry Chen,Salah Awadalla,Krzysztof Iniewski,Pinghe Lu,F. Harris,J. Mackenzie,T. Hasanen,W. Chen,R. Redden,Glenn Bindley,Irfan Kuvvetli,Carl Budtz-Jørgensen,Paul N. Luke,Mark Amman,J.S. Lee,Aleksey E. Bolotnikov,Giuseppe S. Camarda,Yonggang Cui,Anwar Hossain,Ralph B. James +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the traveling heater method was used for the mass production of Cadmium zinc telluride (CZT), Cd0.9Zn0.1Te, crystals.
Characterization of Traveling Heater Method (THM) Grown ${\hbox{Cd}}_{0.9}{\hbox{Zn}}_{0.1}{\hbox{Te}}$ Crystals
Henry Chen,Salah Awadalla,J. Mackenzie,R. Redden,Glenn Bindley,Aleksey E. Bolotnikov,Giuseppe S. Camarda,Gabriella Carini,Ralph B. James +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the traveling heater method (THM) was used to grow a semi-insulating single crystal of n-type (CZT) for X-ray and -ray detectors.

Evaluation of THM-Grown CdZnTe Material for Large-Volume Gamma-Ray Detector Applications
TL;DR: In this paper, the average electron mobility-lifetime product for these crystals was found to be a factor of about five times greater than that measured from crystals obtained over the last decade from two other commercial crystal growers.

Characterization of detector-grade CdZnTe crystals grown by traveling heater method (THM)
Salah Awadalla,J. Mackenzie,Henry Chen,Bob Redden,Glenn Bindley,Martine C. Duff,Arnold Burger,M. Groza,Vladimir Buliga,John P. Bradley,Z. R. Dai,Nick Teslich,David R. Black +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on the 3.7-thm-grown CdZnTe detector-grade crystals that have been post-growth annealed to remove the secondary phases (SPs).

Spectral Response of THM Grown CdZnTe Crystals
Henry Chen,Salah Awadalla,F. Harris,Pinghe Lu,R. Redden,Glenn Bindley,A. Copete,J. Hong,J. E. Grindlay,Mark Amman,J.S. Lee,Paul N. Luke,Irfan Kuvvetli,Carl Budtz-Jørgensen +13 more
TL;DR: The spectral response of several crystals grown by the Traveling Heater Method (THM) were investigated in this article, where an energy resolution of 0.98% for a Pseudo Frisch-Grid of 4 times 4 times 9 mm3 and 2.1% FWHM for a coplanar grid of size 11 times 11 times 5 mm3 were measured using 137Cs-662 keV.
