TL;DR: In this article , the authors focus on the 14-MeV high resolution neutron spectrometers based on artificial diamonds which, for the first time, have extensively been used to measure 14-meV DT neutron spectra with unprecedented energy resolution (Full Width at Half Maximum of ≈ 1% at 14 MeV).

Investigation of a Cherenkov-based gamma-ray diagnostic for measurement of 17 MeV gamma-rays from T(D, γ)5He in magnetic confinement fusion plasmas
O. Putignano,Gabriele Croci,A. Muraro,S. Cancelli,L. Giacomelli,Giuseppe Boriani,Giovanni Grosso,M.H. Kushoro,Giulia Marcer,M. Nocente,Marica Rebai,M. Tardocchi +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a gamma-ray counter with a variable energy threshold based on the Cherenkov effect and designed to operate in intense neutron fields, achieving an efficiency better than 105.

Characterisation of N2-GEM: a beam monitor based on Ar-N2 gas mixture
S. Cancelli,A. Muraro,E. Perelli Cippo,F. Caruggi,Giovanni Grosso,G. Gorini,M.H. Kushoro,Giulia Marcer,O. Putignano,J. Scionti,M. Tardocchi,Gabriele Croci +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , a triple GEM detector was tested with a new gas mixture based on Argon and Nitrogen (Ar-N2) at different concentrations: 90%−10, 80%−20, and 70%−30.

Conceptual design of a GEM (gas electron multiplier) based gas Cherenkov detector for measurement of 17 MeV gamma rays from T(D, γ)5He in magnetic confinement fusion plasmas.
O. Putignano,Gabriele Croci,A. Muraro,S. Cancelli,F. Caruggi,G. Gorini,Giovanni Grosso,M.H. Kushoro,Giulia Marcer,M. Nocente,E. Perelli Cippo,Marica Rebai,D. Rigamonti,M. Tardocchi +13 more
TL;DR: In this article , a gamma-ray detector based on the Cherenkov effect was proposed for deuterium-tritium (DT) fusion plasmas, which is optimized to work in the neutron-rich environment of a steady-state, magnetically confined fusion plasma device.
