Stability of Organic Cations in Solution-Processed CH3NH3PbI3 Perovskites: Formation of Modified Surface Layers
Alberto Calloni,Antonio Abate,Gianlorenzo Bussetti,Giulia Berti,Rossella Yivlialin,Franco Ciccacci,Lamberto Duò +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a combined X-ray and UV photoemission spectroscopy study (XPS and UPS) of organic-inorganic perovskites prepared from a solution of lead chloride (PbCl2) and methylammonium iodide (CH3NH3I) was conducted.

Observation of Mixed Valence Ru Components in Zn Doped Y2Ru2O7 Pyrochlores
Giulia Berti,S. Sanna,Carlo Castellano,J. van Duijn,R. Ruiz-Bustos,L. Bordonali,Gianlorenzo Bussetti,Alberto Calloni,Francesco Demartin,Lamberto Duò,Alberto Brambilla +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a study of Y2Ru2O7 pyrochlores as a function of the Zn doping level x. The results give experimental evidence that the heterovalent doping promotes the increase of conductivity in the Y2 Ru2O 7 pyroglores, making these systems promising as intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cell cathodes.
Elucidating the Impact of Molecular Packing and Device Architecture on the Performance of Nanostructured Perylene Diimide Solar Cells
Eduardo Aluicio-Sarduy,Ranbir Singh,Zhipeng Kan,Tengling Ye,Aliaksandr Baidak,Alberto Calloni,Giulia Berti,Lamberto Duò,Agathaggelos Iosifidis,Serge Beaupré,Mario Leclerc,Hans-Jürgen Butt,George Floudas,Panagiotis E. Keivanidis +13 more
TL;DR: A comparative study of four different polymer:PDI OPV model systems shows that the ZnO-functionalized devices surpass the performance of the conventional device analogues, and reveals the presence of additional intermolecular PDI interactions that introduce a substantial energetic disorder in the polymer: PDI composites.

Electron spectroscopy investigation of the oxidation of ultra-thin films of Ni and Cr on Fe(0 0 1).
Alberto Calloni,Giulia Berti,Alberto Brambilla,Michele Riva,Andrea Picone,Gianlorenzo Bussetti,Marco Finazzi,Franco Ciccacci,Lamberto Duò +8 more
TL;DR: The degree of crystallinity and the stoichiometry of the oxide layers were characterized and the chemical stability of the interface with the highly reactive Fe substrate was addressed by means of low-energy electron diffraction and x-ray and UV photoemission spectroscopy.
